I started blogging in 2011 [junior in high school] because I wanted a creative outlet. A place where I could share my thoughts and outfits.. Not much has changed. From a young age I loved to get dressed up and put on shows with my cousins. I watched Rachel Zoe’s TV show and fashion police with my mom for as long as I can remember. We could go on about which looks we loved and what we would wear. I gravitate toward a modern style in what I wear but I don’t believe in sticking to one theme. I believe that finding what fits your body the best can make you look and feel your best and in return you act like it.
About
I also grew up cooking with my grandma – she let me help her cook at such a young age. I have an appreciation for good food because I know how much work and love goes into it. Not only my interests, but my upbringing has led me to where I am today. After high school, I chose to study nutrition at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia for 51/2 years. I am officially a registered dietitian with a masters degree. It sure did not come easy. Currently, I am working at a cancer center in Kentucky – It is a privilege to have the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of those going through such a difficult time. I continue to be inspired by so many of my patients to be strong and live life to the fullest.
College was when I learned the most about myself and rededicated my life to the Lord. I finally realized who God was and how big He really is. I learned that God can take my stress away and give me peace. He provided and still provides rest, strength and endurance all through trusting Him and allowing Him to control my life, NOT ME. I want to share how good He truly is.
When I am not working at the cancer center you can find me playing music with my husband, hanging out with family & friends, baking, working out at orange theory or doing blog work :). My husband and I lead worship at a church in Kentucky and have our own youtube page where we post vlogs and music. I grew up in a very musical family. My two cousins and I actually had a band a long time ago and we were pretty darn good. Our band name was 4Mile [name of the little country road we lived on]. We recorded two albums. I sang harmony and played bass guitar mostly. We love looking back on that time together…yes, you can find one of our albums on Itunes. LOL
